IN THE BEGINNING...
Formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2020, The Down South Band spent an entire year tightening their groove, honing their set-list, and drinking a whole bunch of Tequila. (Well, except for Ray. He's more of an Iced Tea kinda guy).
In 2021 the band hit the ground running with a bunch of local gigs, and have since became a fixture on the Nashville country music circuit.
Clubs, pubs, dive-bars, casinos, floating barges, private parties, and outdoor festivals - The Down South Band has done it all.
And now, 4 years, 7 guitarists, 2 bass players, and a brand new singer later, The DSB have hit the road afresh and wrestled 2024 to the ground.

With a swag of Country Classics, some Bro-Country Pop, a little Southern Rock, and a Whole-Lotta-Hits, The Down South Band put the fun into every function the second they hit the stage. From Waylon to Garth, to all the Georges and back, this truly is country music for the head, heart, and feet.

With 217 years of combined experience in the music industry, The Down South Band represents an eclectic tapestry of musical tastes and styles. Whether they're jamming it out on 'Boot Scootin' Boogie', dialing it down for 'In Color', or whipping the crowd into a sing-a-long frenzy with 'Friends in Low Places', every single song hits home.
