Brian has a very particular set of skills: Not only is he a world class country singer, but he’s also a highfalutin’ corporate lawyer. And while he hasn’t yet - as far as we know - indulged in the former whilst practicing the latter in court, when he's on stage, he will look for you - and he will find you - with his awesome guitar work and killer vocal abilities!
Raised in the Deep South, and on the high plains of West Texas, Brian developed a love for all kinds of music - especially country - at an early age. Like many musos, he moved to Nashville in the mid 90’s to try his hand as a singer/songwriter, but - unlike the vast majority of said musos - he somehow got diverted to law school and moved to California.
While he now spends his days practicing law here in Tennessee, Brian’s love of music recently brought him back to the stage with the DSB. When not lawyering-up or getting-down making music, Brian enjoys the occasional motorcycle ride and catching live music - or any kind of sporting event - with his wife, two daughters, and their friends and family around the country.
Ray Ray's from New York - so Ray Ray’s a lot! But he’s OUR Ray Ray and he brings a whole lotta heart, a whole lotta soul, and a whole lotta groove to The DSB arena - and we’ll fight anyone who says otherwise. (Also, as a kid, he got to see Elvis live in 1976, so mad respect!)
Hailing from Long island, Ray spent the 90’s and 00’s kicking it on tour with some of the biggest boys and girls in music - The Smithereens / Joan Jett / Vince Neil - and in some pretty damn impressive venues, too - The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and Madison Square Freakin’ Gardens!
In 2019, he decided to leave the noise of New York and move his family to a not-so-noisy neighborhood in Nashville. A Low Volt Electronic Tech by day, and an axe-wielding, country music hype man by night, Ray plays every show like it’s Wembley Stadium and The DSB are supporting Queen during Live Aid in 1985.
But that’s just how Ray Ray rolls: He gives his all - and the crowd gets a lot!
Born and bred in Nashville, Tennessee, Roger spent most of his working life in the local Liquor industry before deciding to grow his hair out, pull on some cowboy boots, and take up the bass. While he liked country music as a kid, the teenage version of Roger was more at home at The Nashville Municipal Auditorium throwing devil's horns at the likes of Journey, Kiss, AC/DC, and his all time favorite, Van Halen.
Following in the footsteps of his musical heroes, Roger bought himself some parachute pants, took up guitar, and practiced Eddie’s riffs for hours. In time, he got married, had a couple of kids, continued to sell God’s nectar, and discovered The Foo Fighters - the only band who have come even remotely close to usurping Van Halen from the number one spot on Roger’s Rock & Roll Richter scale.
In 2020, his ‘like’ for country music turned to ‘love’ and he co-founded The DSB with original members Zach Helton and Greg Matthews. And while the parachute pants have long since been traded for Wranglers, Roger’s commitment to putting the boom in the bass end and the velvet in his co-lead vocals will make you wanna Dance the Night Away.
(See what I did there! :-)
Age spent his teens and twenties as a pro bass player chasing musical fame and fortune in his homeland of Australia, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Amy Grant, The Hoodoo Gurus, Napoleon Goes Solo, and Adelaide 's version of the Pretenders, (Little) Egypt along the way. Finding fame and fortune frighteningly fickle, he gave it all up and spent the next 7 years as an award-winning copywriter and creative director for the Austereo Radio Network.
In 2000, he and his favorite wife moved to the US for an 18 month adventure (which has somehow lasted 24 years) laying their hats for varying lengths of time in Maryland, DC, Austin, San Antonio, San Francisco, Cincinnati, Knoxville, Nashville and a host of other places that are often tricky to spell.
In 2010 the couple’s newly purchased home was destroyed by the Nashville flood, so Age fired up YouTube and learned how to fix, fudge, fasten, build, bolt, bend, tile, paint, and hammer stuff back into place. In 2020 he became a dual Aussie/US citizen and decided to switch gears by taking up the drums, reasoning, ‘Sure I have to wave my arms and legs about all night, but at least I get to sit down while I do it!’!
